Dude, you might have heard about Virus inverter from the popular Bollywood movie '3 Idiots'.
Aamir Khan made an inverter that works on car battery. Wow!!!
Do you guys ever thought how he made it.
Before posting this I googled about it, but I could not find anything.
So let me to describe about it.
We can think from reverse.....
Virus inverter is done, use a phase converter at last stage if needed, only for very large load. (3-phase is better than single phase).
Example : Select RC phase shift oscillator (choose freq = 50Hz, select resistor values)
Supply from battery.
Connect to step up transformer.
PS : Car battery is used, because it has high power; can drive large current applications

We can think from reverse.....
- It operates Bulb and other ac devices; its an inverter. So we need sine wave.
- It uses car battery which is DC. So DC to AC. That is, we need an oscillator (multivibrator).
- Oscillator is a small device used to produce sine wave from DC.
- But the problem is that we only use small dc, say 12V. Then we get a sine wave of 12V.
- 12V to 230V ------> use a transformer.

Great idea sir!
ReplyDeleteBut where will we get the oscillator(multivibrater)from?
Sorry for the late reply. You can use RC phase shift oscillator using an opamp and few resistors and capacitors. Google RC phase shift oscillator and you can see the circuit, its simple.

Deletebut sir can please elaborate with circuit diagram??
ReplyDeleteThis will be great for my final year project..More info of this ?
